I have a feeling that even if you go to Jupiter it's not going to be hard to find a McDonald's, Wendy's or Starbucks :)

Awesome. When I moved to Den Haag, I bought a big map of the neighborhood, and everytime I found something that I liked/ needed, I circled it on that map for future reference.
I also was a dork and whenever I passed something that I wanted to explore furhter, I wrote it down, so that later I wld have a handy dandy list of things to do.
I shld do that in New York. I pass by tons of stuff, and ignore it. partly b/c New York is so overwhelming, and partly b/c if you miss it on this street, you'll find it in the next 4.

Oh... I know I'm going to be enjoying exploring the city with you! Yes, I think being able to speak and understand Japanese would be a huge advantage, but it might take you a little longer to read and write!! When do you start your work?
I walked past the room at church where they're planning this summer's mission trip. They'll make a stop in Osaka. (sigh)
