That's it. I've decided that I can't live without Wednesday. I miss him so much that I've decided to chuck it all in and move to Tokyo.
Haha. . . just kidding! I'm not that big a loser. . . I mean, I am moving to Tokyo, just not moving there for Weds (although Nev contends that Weds is my real reason for going there).
So yes, I am moving to Japan. . . the Land of the Rising Sun, the Land of Tiny People (I'm 5'8":(), the Land of People Whose Language I Don't Speak.
The story in a nutshell: I was hired at my current job to go to Tokyo, and have been working in the New York bureau while my paperwork gets sorted out. Now, it's all almost done, and I'm flying away on April 26, never to return. . . for the foreseeable future anyway. Of course I will still continue my blog, so I hope you will accompany me on my new adventures.
So see? I wasn't just being a dramatick (to quote Caveboy) when I was going on about the decision to take this job changing my whole life. And that was why I took 18 hours of Japanese classes over two weekends (which I'm already forgetting :S).
So yes, I have a few crazy, hectic weeks of packing, getting rid of stuff and shipping what I haven't gotten rid of. But after that, I'll be off to London for a few days, then on to Chapter 7 of my life. Wish me luck and blessings!

Wow, Japan, that sounds like an exciting adventure. I'm really jealous of you as it's a place I've always wanted to visit but funds don't permit (at least for the time being - wait until I win the lottery!). I hope you have a great time there, although watch out for the stairs as the steps are even smaller there than in the US!
Great decision... good luck in your new venture, I'm so excited for you. No wonder you said this new job was going to change your life. I hope you'll keep blogging, it will be fascinating to hear your first impressions of the country. WOOHOO INI!
Cool! I've always admired adventurous people, and secretly wished that I was one of them. Good to hear that you will be keeping up your blog so that we can keep up with you. Best of luck and enjoy!
Good luck and blessings!
V. exciting. The Chapter 6 folks are going to miss you.
How about you do a series of sentimental posts before you leave? What you learnt from each chapter of your life? What you hope from the new adventure? A little bit of hard-core soul-introspection, no?
The best of luck to you, it sounds great!!
Watch out for those Japanese people though, I hear that they breathe oxygen through their noses and eat food via their mouth! Whatever next? That's evolution for you!
Sounds good. I've always had a yen for Tokyo.
Luck? YOU get to move to Tokyo and you want us to wish you luck?? It seems to me that your luck-quotient is overflowing!
Instead, I wish you an abundance of the Fruit of the Spirit. May Christ shine brightly through you every day. May you thoroughly enjoy your work and new friends. May a healthy portion of the “old friends” maintain contact and continue to bless you and be blessed by you.
There is a remote chance I will pass through Osaka in August. I was there once before, and found myself wishing I could stay longer… like 5 years longer!
Erik. . . thanks! I think almost everything is smaller, so that should be an interesting experience. I guess I'll just have to shrink!
Ex-shammie, Outlaw, San, Gary, Craver, thank you for your wishes and blessings.
Caveboy, you want me to write emotional posts so you can then make fun of me. . . don't think I don't see through that. . . I know you too well!
Martin, I know. . . how am I ever going to live with those people who breathe through their noses and eat through their mouths? I'll have to come read your blog when it gets too overwhelming!
Goodnight Inihtar, sleep tight, watch the bed bugs don't bite and have a nice mug of hot milk before you go to sleep so that you are nice and snoozy.
PS Thnaks for the sooper dooper comment you left me, my head is bigger than the moon now.
I have left the 'thnaks' above, I can never write the word 'thanks' without getting the a and n back to front, what does this mean?
I'll be fcuked if I know!
Oh my gosh... you know, even though it's not like I ever see you in New York, I feel a sense of loss with your leaving.
On the other hand, Japan... wow. I have a friend who really solidified his spiritual life there. I wish that and more for you.
So glad you are a blogger, so I'll get to see the world through your eyes. Blessings, many blessings, Ini.
Thanks LL! That's so sweet! And you know, I hear they don't toss trash into your yard in Japan!
Um, I wld make fun of you regardless of whether you left an emotional post or not. Coz I am evil. Caveboy.
Caveboy, that much I knew!
